DESCRIPTION:

This Softpaq creates the OS/2 Support Software Diskettes
for Compaq Version 3.20 Rev A. For complete information
about changes and enhancements to the OS/2 Support
Software diskette, please see Whatsnew.htm on the first
diskette by typing 
  A:\ Viewme A:\HTMLRDR\Whatsnew.htm
at the OS/2 prompt.

NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES:

This section details the new features and problems fixed
by the contents of the Compaq Support Software Diskette
v3.20A for OS/2 

1. Compaq SSD Setup Utility for OS/2

   The Compaq Support Software diskette Setup Utility for 
   OS/2 from Compaq v1.00, is a Java based utility that 
   helps in installing Compaq supplied drivers and Utilities 
   to your OS/2 machine. Please note that you must have the 
   correct version  of Java Virtual Machine installed on your 
   machine.
 
2. Compaq Array Configuration Utility for Win-OS/2 
    
   Compaq Array Configuration Utility (Version 1.10) has been
   updated to fix an application trap seen on faulty hardware.
   This version of ACU does not support Compaq SmartArray
   3100ES Controller. You must use the offline Compaq ACU 
   available in the Compaq Support Software CD to configure
   devices connected to this controller.

3. Compaq RIB Driver Updates for OS/2
   
   The Compaq RIB Driver for OS/2 CPQRIB.SYS version 2.10
   has been updated to support Compaq Remote Insight Board
   PCI Controller.
   
4. Compaq Array Controller Driver Updates for OS/2
   
   The Compaq Array Controller Driver for OS/2 CPQARRAY.ADD
   version 3.45 has been updated to support the new Compaq
   SmartArray  3100ES Array Controller.
   
5. Compaq Fibre Channel Array Driver Updates for OS/2

   The Compaq Fibre Channel driver for OS/2,CPQFCAL.ADD
   version 1.10 has been enhanced  to support controller
   redundancy. This enables configuration of two Fibre
   channel Array controllers as a duplex pair. Backup/
   Secondary controller takes over in case of primary 
   controller failure.
 
6. Compaq SCSI Driver Updates for OS/2
   
   The Compaq SCSI driver, CPQ53CX.ADD version 2.55 has
   been enhanced to support controller redundancy.This 
   enables the user to configure two SCSI controller as a
   duplex pair. Redundant/Secondary controller takes over in
   case of primary controller failure.
 
7. Compaq System Management Driver Updates For OS/2

   The Compaq System Management Driver Ver 1.10 has been
   enhanced to support the Compaq Servers ProLiant 1850R, 
   ProLiant 6000 Pentium II Xeon, ProLiant 7000 Pentium II Xeon 
   and ProLiant 5500 6/400-512 Model 1-128.

8. Compaq System Wellness Utility For OS/2

   This Compaq System Wellness Utility Version 1.10 has been
   updated to provide the support for the servers running
   Compaq System Management Driver Version 1.10.
   
 HOW TO USE:

1.Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your
  hard drive and change to that directory. The file that
  is downloaded is SP4726.EXE.

2.From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
  file:
      SP4726 [ENTER]

  The following files should be created:

  QRST5.EXE
  277096US._01
  277096US._02
  277096US._03
  277096US._04
  277096US._05
  SP4726.TXT

3. Obtain 5 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

4. To create the diskettes, run QRST5 and follow the
   on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the
   downloaded file SP4726.EXE and the other files created
   on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Type VIEWME at the command prompt on the First Diskette 
   for additional information.
