DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq unpacks the file required to install 
a utility that allows a user to select a default refresh rate for 
each supported resolution under Windows 3.1 for the S3 V2/GX or 
S3 ViRGE/GX video controller used in the above-mentioned Deskpro models.
Optionally allows a utility diskette to be created.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, empty directory on your 
hard drive.  The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable 
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq.  When executed 
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete 
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path> 

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download 
directory or the directory specified.  

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The utility may be installed directly from the file on the 
download directory or a diskette can be created.  
To create a diskette, run MAKEDISK.BAT.

To install the utility, run the downloaded file S3REFRSH.EXE.  
For example, type in the path to the directory containing the
files extracted in step 2 followed by the command S3REFRSH.EXE 
and press enter:
   c:\<path>\S3REFRSH
Or if installing from a created diskette, enter:
   a:\S3REFRSH

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
