PREREQUISITES:  Compaq Netelligent Management Software Foundation Module, 
Version 2.0 or 2.0A.  Version 2.0A is available in SoftPaq SP3453, which also

DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks a setup file to install a PMM (Product Management Module) 
that provides support for the Netelligent 2624 and 2824 Managing Repeaters and 
the Netelligent 2524 and 2724 Manageable Repeaters.  It is designed to augment the 
functionality of the Compaq Netelligent Management Software Version 2.0 or 2.0A 
Foundation Module.  Refer to SoftPaq SP3453 for the Foundation Module and a 
description of the features of Compaq Netelligent Management Software.  
This PMM is a portion of the software available on the Compaq Netelligent 
Management CD-ROM, Part Number 185743-011. 

IMPORTANT!  For a 2624 Repeater to be compatible with a 2824 Repeater in the same 
stack, both must be running firmware version 2.0 or later.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
It unpacks 2 files (requiring an additional 1.3 MB of hard drive space)
that are used to install the application:
 SETUP.EXE
 README.TXT

You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Refer to README.TXT for additional details on installing and 
using the software.  

5. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. After the installation has completed successfully, you may 
delete the SETUP.EXE file.
