DESCRIPTION: Drive Array Advanced Diagnostics utility is a DOS based tool
designed to run on all Compaq products that contain a Smart
SCSI Array Controller using SCSI hard drives. The two main
functions of DAAD are to collect all possible information
about the array controllers in the system and generate a
list of detected problems. This data can then be saved to a
file for analysis. In most cases, DAAD will provide enough
information to initiate problem resolution immediately.
DAAD consists of one (1) diskette:
                DRIVE ARRAY ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS

Enhancements:

 - Added reporting of future Computer Models automatically.

 - Added reporting of newer Primary CPU's
   (e.g. Intel Pentium II - 266MHz).

 - Added percent completed information next to the following
   logical drive status fields:
          "Blocks left to Rebuild:"
          "Blocks left to Expand: "
but only if the logical drive is rebuilding or expanding.

 - Added support for the latest COMPAQ logo.

 - Added reporting of Sense Posted-Write Cache Status bits 10-12.

 - Added support to display the "Configuration Error" field. This
field is found by selecting Controller Identification on the
   Inspect Menu.

 - Added reporting of Identify Controller Configuration Error bits
   0,2,3,5-7.

 - Added reporting of the following Computer Models:
   ProSignia 200, ProLiant 800, ProLiant 850R,
   ProLiant 1000, ProLiant 2000, ProLiant 2500,
   ProLiant 4000, ProLiant 6000, ProLiant 6500,
   ProLiant 7000

Fixes:

 - Added support to detect array controllers in Slots 10 and 11.

 - Fixed error reporting for Ultra & S.M.A.R.T.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. The DAAD diskette is self-booting. Place the diskette into your
drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your system to start the
    DAAD utility.
