the video driver for Windows NT 4.0 for the S3 V2/GX controller
used in certain Deskpro 2000 models, including those announced in
July 1997. Optionally allows a driver diskette to be created.
 - Addresses the displacement of Cpqsetup applet tab page strings
and buttons in APD languages.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a temporary, EMPTY directory on your
hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable
with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From the download directory, execute the SoftPaq. When executed
with no parameters, files are extracted into the current directory.
To extract the files into a different directory, specify the complete
path of the directory as a parameter:

     SPxxxx <path>

Enter "Y" to confirm and files are unpacked into the download
directory or the directory specified.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. The driver may be installed directly from the files on the download
directory or driver diskette can be created. To create a driver diskette,
run MAKEDISK.BAT.
To install the driver, go to the Control Panel and select:

   Display/Settings/Display Type

Verify that the Adapter Type is S3 V2/GX.
If it is, then continue to select:

   Change/Have Disk

Type in the path to the download directory or select "Browse" to
specify the location of the files extracted in step 2.

5. Select OK to install the driver.

6. When the installation is complete, shut down and restart the computer
for the changes to take effect.

7. After the driver has been installed, you may delete the files
from the download directory if you wish.
