DESCRIPTION: Unpacks files needed to install Compaq Floppy Drive
Server Application for Windows 95 and NT 4.0. The Deskpro 4000N is not
equipped with a diskette drive. The Compaq Floppy Drive Server Application
allows the Deskpro 4000N to use the 1.44 MB diskette drive installed in the
host computer. The connection is a serial port connection and utilizes a
null modem cable. The Compaq Floppy Drive Server Application executes on
the server to process any diskette drive request made by the Deskpro 4000N.
This allows the Deskpro 4000N to boot, read, and write using the host
computer's 1.44 MB diskette drive.
HOW TO USE:
1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename
based on the Softpaq number above.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Entering "Y" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a DISK1 directory
folder in the download directory. All files are unpacked into the
created DISK1 directory.
3. After the directory has been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
4. To install, execute SETUP.EXE in the created directory and
follow on-screen instructions.
5. After installation is complete, you may delete the DISK1 directory
created in step 2 if you wish.
