PREREQUISITES:  Compaq Netelligent Management Software Foundation 
Foundation Module, Ver 2.0 or 2.0A.  Version 2.0A is available in 
SoftPaq SP3453, which also lists system requirements.

DESCRIPTION:  Creates a setup file to install a PMM (Product 
Management Module) that provides support for the Netelligent 5708  
Switch.  It is designed to augment the functionality of the 
Compaq Netelligent Management Software Version 2.0A (or 2.0) Foundation 
Module.  Refer to SoftPaq SP3453 for the Foundation Module and a 
description of the features of Compaq Netelligent Management Software.  
This PMM is an update to the 5708 PMM available on the Compaq 
Netelligent Management 2.0 CD-ROM, Part Number 185743-011. 

This release allows for configuration of the duplex mode on the switch, 
and updates the MIBs to support the duplex mode.  

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
It unpacks 2 files (requiring an additional 1 MB of hard drive space)
that are used to install the application:
 SETUP.EXE
 README.TXT

You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. Refer to README.TXT for additional details on installing and 
using the software.  The installed PMM requires 1 MB hard drive 
space.  (The installation process may require up to 50% more disk 
space than the final installation; this space is freed when the 
installation is complete).   

5. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. After the installation has completed successfully, you may 
delete the SETUP.EXE file.
