DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq creates two files -- a description file and a 
large self-extracting executable file.  The self-extracting executable file 
contains Compaq Support Software for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 that supports 
the subsystems and features listed below for Compaq Professional Workstations 
and ProLiant and ProSignia Servers.

NOTE:  This same software is available in SoftPaq SP3927 in a form that 
creates diskettes rather than copying installation files to the hard disk.

----- Enhancements/Fixes in this Release -----
This release supports the new Compaq Professional Workstation 5100 and the 
Compaq ProLiant 7000 server.  Details of the support for this product are listed 
below and in NTREADME.HLP. 

Compaq Integrated Management Display Utility
- Added support for a 620 X 440 screen size.
- Added support to check user privileges for starting the Compaq Integrated 
  Management Display Utility and to prohibit multiple user instances.

Compaq Netelligent/NetFlex-3 Controllers
- Added support for the Compaq Professional Workstation 5100.
- Updated driver to support the Netelligent 10 T/2 PCI UTP/Coax Controller 
  (a 10Base-T, 10Base-2 combination controller, with an RJ45 and BNC connector).

Compaq Professional Workstation 5100
- Added Remote Wakeup capability, allowing a system administrator to power-up 
  a client computer from a remote console.

Compaq SCSI Controllers
- Changed the return status for aborting, pending SCSI Request Blocks upon 
  reception of a SCSI Bus Reset to SRB_STATUS_BUS_RESET.

Compaq System Management Driver
- Added System Management Health driver support for the Compaq Professional 
  Workstation 5100 and the Compaq ProLiant 7000.
- Added hot-replace fans and redundant VRMs for the Compaq ProLiant 7000.
- Added support for capturing blue screen events via IRC (Integrated Remote  
  Console).  This feature requires version 1.4 or later of the IRC firmware.  
  This firmware is part of the system ROM; all systems that support IRC will 
  receive this firmware as part of their next maintenance ROM release.  
  Enable the Remote Console functions for IRC through the Compaq System 
  Configuration Utility to view the firmware version number.

Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Video Accelerator
- Added Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Video Accelerator support for the 
  Compaq Professional Workstation 5100, 6000, and 8000.  The  
  Multimedia Fire GL 4000 Video Accelerator is comprised of a new display 
  controller and associated drivers.

Millennium/Millennium II Video Driver
- Made a modification to the miniport driver (MGAX64.SYS) to handle GCLK 
  for 12 and 16 MB Millennium II boards.
- Set minimum off-screen requirements to 22 Kbytes instead of 47.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions to unpack the files.
The number of files to be created and total file size is displayed.
You will be given the chance to specify the target directory for 
the files, or default to the download directory.
The following files will be created:
       README.TXT
       NTSSD.EXE

3. After the files have been created, you may delete the  
self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

4. From the directory in which the files are created, execute the 
self-extracting executable:
       NTSSD.EXE [ENTER]

5. Follow the instructions on the screen to extract (unzip) the support 
software files to a folder on your hard drive and run the program 
SETUP.EXE to install the software.
