DESCRIPTION:  Creates an S3 ViRGE Display Drivers diskette, which is an
upgrade to the S3 ViRGE Video Drivers which were shipped on the 
above-mentioned Presario 4800 Series models.
This version:
- Supports ViRGE, ViRGE/VX, ViRGE/DX and ViRGE/GX in Windows 95
- Contains the Microsoft WHQL-Certified driver for ViRGE, ViRGE/VX, 
  ViRGE/DX and ViRGE/GX for Windows 95 and DirectX 3.0a
- Fixes MPEG playback problems in conjunction with the new SoftPeg CODEC

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. To install the upgrade, perform the following two-step process:
   I. Uninstall the original driver
  II. Install the new driver from within Windows 95

   I. Uninstall the original driver

      a) Insert the diskette into the A: drive.
      b) From Windows 95, select Start, Run, type "a:\setup" and click OK.
      c) Follow the instructions to uninstall the original drivers.
      d) When requested to restart the system, remove the diskette and 
         select Shutdown, Restart.
      e) When Windows restarts, the display will appear hazy and you will get 
         the message "There is a problem with your display settings. The adapter 
         type is incorrect, or the settings do not work with your hardware." 
         Click on the OK button.
      f) The Display Properties window will come up. Click on the Cancel button.

  II. Install the new driver

      a) From Windows 95, select Start, Run, type "a:\setup" and click OK.
      b) Follow the instructions to install the new drivers.
      c) When requested to restart the system, remove the diskette and 
         select Shutdown, Restart.
      d) The upgraded drivers are now installed.
