DESCRIPTION: Creates the four System Configuration For Compaq EISA and
EISA/PCI Products diskettes, which support all currently shipping
Systems Division server products. It is installed on the System
Partition for those systems which support it and have hard drives. It
is shipped as diskette(s) on all other products.
New Features:
1. Includes support for Compaq ProSignia 200 PII/233 and ProLiant 6500
servers.
2. Allows for remote power cycle of system when necessary.
3. Added support for an advanced feature for the Integrated Management
Display called "Event Alert Notification." This allows the user to
disable the flashing "ALERT!" panel that can appear on the display.
Problems Fixed:
1. Fixed minor problem with handling System ROM dates past the year 2000.
2. Fixed problem with using Matrox Millenium video board in slot 4 of a
ProLiant 850R.
3. In the previous release of config, erasing NVRAM via advanced mode would
also erase the System Serial Number.
4. Now, PCI devices behind a bridge will be displayed properly in the
SYSTEM.CHL file, which is a readable-text file that allows the user to
view their configuration.
HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain four (4) formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
to that directory. The file that is downloaded is an executable with
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file
and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to
insert the formatted diskettes in a drive to create the diskettes.
4. After the diskettes have been created, you may delete the
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.
5. To run the Compaq System Configuration Utility, power down your
computer, place the Compaq System Configuration Utility diskette 1 in
Drive A:, and power up your computer.
