DESCRIPTION:  This creates a ROMPaq firmware upgrade diskette to 
upgrade the System ROM in the above-mentioned Deskpro 2000 models 
(586c ROM Family) to the 04/25/97 version.  The ROM Family and ROM 
date can be determined by running F10 Setup.  

Enhancements in this version:
- Improves year 2000 support
- Adds new Int15, function E820h for Windows NT 3.51
- Adds DMA for IDE devices

Fixes in this version:
- Fixes PCI and Plug and Play issues
- Gets correct amount of Extended Memory before clearing it
- Increases setLED timeout for faster processors
- Fixes the pointer to Motor Settle Time of the Diskette 
  Parameter Table


HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and 
change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
SP3237.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP3237 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44-MB diskette into 
a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded 
file SP3237.EXE if you wish.

5.  Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle 
system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to select the 04/25/97 
Compaq System ROM and upgrade the firmware.
