DESCRIPTION: Contains an updated OS/2 NDIS driver, IBMTRP.OS2, for the 
IBM PCI Token-ring adapter to correct an initialization problem when 
booting OS/2 2.x or later on a Proliant 5000 server. 

The error varies depending on which slot the Token-ring adapter is in, 
but the message indicates that there is a problem opening the MAC driver.

Before the OS/2 Requester begins to load the following error may display:

LT00056: The Open Adapter Request To The IBMTRP_nif MAC Driver Did Not 
Complete Within The Required Time Limit.

When the Requester attempts to load, one of the following messages may 
appear:

Net 3087: Requester detected a problem with the cable connection.

Net 3060: The service did not respond to a control signal and was 
stopped by the DosKillProc function.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP3191.EXE. 

2. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file: 
SP3191 [ENTER] 
The following files should be created: 
IBMTRP.OS2
IBMTRP.DOC

3. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP3191.EXE if you wish. 

4. To install the driver, make a backup copy of the existing IBMTRP.OS2 
file in the \IBMCOM\MACS sub-directory on the hard drive and copy the 
new IBMTRP.OS2 file to the \IBMCOM\MACS sub-directory.

5. Add the following switch to the IBMTRP.OS2 driver in the Config.Sys file:
		/EOIDELAY=3
The line in the Config.Sys file should read:
		DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\MACS\IBMTRP.OS2 /EOIDELAY=3

6. Restart the server.
