DESCRIPTION:  This creates the ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette 
for the Compaq Deskpro to upgrade the System ROM on the above- 
mentioned Deskpro 4000/6000 Pentium Pro models (686G6 Family 
ROM) to the 04/18/97 version.  The ROM Family and ROM date can be 
determined by running F10 Setup. 

Enhancements in this version:
- Adds new Int15, function E820h for Windows NT 3.51

Fixes in this version:
- Fixes an init RTC problem
- Allows detected Extended Memory Size at CMOS location 
  30h and 31h to be 64MB maximum 
- Re-initializes the Super I/O chip if COLD BOOT, clearing 
  STATUS register before leaving POST

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and 
change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
SP3180.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP3180 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into 
a diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded 
file SP3180.EXE if you wish.

5.  Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle 
system power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to select the 04/18/97 
Compaq System ROM and flash the firmware.
