DESCRIPTION:  Creates a set of three (3) diskettes that allow a 
user to upgrade the Compaq 288 PCMCIA Data/Fax Modem to a 33.6-Kbps 
modem that is managed properly by Windows 95. 
Diskette 1: Compaq 336 Fax Modem (PCMCIA) Information
            (updated INF file for Windows 95)
Diskette 2: Compaq Data/Fax 336 PCMCIA Modem ROM Upgrade 
            (same ROMPaq already released as SoftPaq SP2636)
Diskette 3: Compaq 336 Fax Modem Software, Part No. 189659-00
            (upgrades Modem Advisor application for 33.6 Kbps)
Although the ROMPaq to perform this upgrade was previously released 
as SoftPaq SP2636, without the updated INF file on the first 
diskette created by this SoftPaq, Windows 95 does not report connect 
speeds greater than 28.8 Kbps.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain 3 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP3102.EXE.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
   SP3102 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskettes into a 
diskette drive to create the diskettes.

4. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded 
file SP3102.EXE if you wish.

5. Refer to the README.TXT file on Diskette #1 for complete 
installation instructions for all three diskettes.

6. Place Diskette #1 into drive a:.  In Windows 95, select Start, 
Run, then enter:
   a:\install
