DESCRIPTION:  Creates a diskette for updating the firmware to 
Version 24.09P08 on the Western Digital model 21600 hard drive 
(a 1.6-GB hard drive with Compaq assembly number 247576-001). 
This firmware version corrects a false Intellisafe 17xx error 
at POST.  This upgrade will have no effect on a computer that 
does not have the WD21600 hard drive.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP3099.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP3099 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP3099.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing 
and using the software.
