DESCRIPTION: Creates the two-diskette set, "Compaq OS/2 Support Software 
Diskettes."  For complete information on changes and enhancements, see 
WHATSNEW.RDM on the first diskette. 

Updates:                

1. Compaq SCSI Driver updates for OS/2

The SCSI driver, CPQ53CX.ADD v2.45 has been updated to support
Ultra SCSI speeds (up to 40 MBps) on the Compaq ProLiant Storage 
System/U.

2. Compaq IDE Driver updates for OS/2

The Compaq Bus Master IDE Driver for OS/2, CPQEIDE.ADD v1.11
is a maintenance release with no changes in functionality. 

3. Compaq Health Driver updates for OS/2

The Health driver, CPQHLTH.SYS v3.50 has been updated to support
the Compaq Hot Plug Redundant Power supplies on the Compaq ProLiant 
2500, ProLiant 1600 and ProLiant 1200 servers.

4. Compaq OS2APIC Driver Update for OS/2

The Compaq OS2APIC driver for OS/2, OS2APIC.PSD v2.40 has been 
updated to fix a system hang problem during bootup with the 
Compaq ProLiant 7000 servers in a 4-Processor configuration.

5. Compaq NetFlex-3 Driver for OS/2 update

The NetFlex-3 driver for OS/2, NETFLX3.OS2 v1.81 is a maintenance 
release with no changes in functionality.

6. Compaq NetFlex-3 Driver for DOS update

The NetFlex-3 driver for DOS, NETFLX3.DOS v1.73 is a maintenance 
release with no changes in functionality.

7. Compaq Token Ring ISA Driver for OS/2 

CPQTRISA.OS2 v1.01, supports the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR ISA 
UTP/STP and Thomas Conrad 4145 Token Ring ISA UTP/STP controllers
on OS/2 2.x and later.

8.  Compaq Token Ring PCI Driver for OS/2

CPQTRPCI.OS2 v1.01, supports the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR PCI 
UTP/STP and Thomas Conrad 4048 Token Ring PCI UTP/STP controllers 
on OS/2 2.x and later.

9. Compaq 3COM PCI Driver for OS/2

TL3C3X9.OS2 v3.12, supports the 3COM 3C3X9 PCI Token Ring Controller 
on OS/2 2.x and later.

10. Compaq Token Ring ISA Driver for DOS 

CPQTRISA.DOS v1.00, supports the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR ISA 
UTP/STP and Thomas Conrad 4145 Token Ring ISA UTP/STP controllers
on DOS.

11. Compaq Token Ring PCI Driver for DOS

CPQTRPCI.DOS v1.00, supports the Compaq Netelligent 4/16 TR PCI 
UTP/STP and Thomas Conrad 4048 Token Ring PCI UTP/STP controllers 
on DOS.

12. Compaq 3com PCI Driver for DOS

TL3C3X9.DOS v1.00, supports the 3COM 3C3X9 PCI Token Ring Controller 
on DOS.

REMOVAL OF DRIVERS:

NOTE:  A copy of the OS/2 2.x Support Software Diskette, Ver 2.15 Rev A,
       referred to in the following items, can be obtained from SoftPaq SP3077 
       if necessary.

1. REMOVAL OF CQS_DATR.SYS UPDATES V1.00 - OS/2 SSD V3.00
       
Tape driver support under Sytos+ v1.0 will not be available on 
the OS/2 SSD 3.00 and later. For support of these products and 
installation information, obtain a copy of OS/2 2.x SSD v2.15. 
The following files are no longer on the OS/2 SSD:

      \syfiles\cqs_datr.sys
      \sysfiles\cqs_datr.dll
      \sysfiles\cqs_datr.txt

2. REMOVAL OF CQS_1GBW.SYS UPDATES - OS/2 SSD V3.00 

1.2GB ACA Tape support under Sytos+ will not be available on 
the OS/2 SSD 3.00 and later. For support of these products and 
installation information, obtain a copy of OS/2 2.x SSD v2.15. 
The following files are no longer on the OS/2 2.x SSD:

      \syfiles\cqs_1gbw.sys
      \sysfiles\cqs_1gbw.dll
      \sysfiles\cqs_1gbw.txt

3. REMOVAL OF CPQBZL.SYS OS/2 SSD V3.00
 
Compaq Presario volume control button support driver will not be 
available on the OS/2 2.x SSD 3.00 and later. For support of these 
products and installation information, obtain a copy of OS/2 2.x SSD 
v2.15. The following files are no longer on the OS/2 2.x SSD:

      \cpqbzl\cpqbzl.sys
      \sysfiles\cpqbzl.rdm
 
4. REMOVAL OF CPQC94.ADD OS/2 SSD V3.00

The following files will not be available on the OS/2 SSD 3.00 
and later. For support of these products and installation information, 
obtain a copy of OS/2 2.x SSD v2.15.

      \add\cpqc94.add
      \sysfiles\cpqc94.rdm

HOW TO USE:

1.Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your 
  hard drive and change to that directory. The file that 
  is downloaded is SP3080.EXE.

2.From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq
  file: 
      SP3080 [ENTER]

  The following files should be created:

  QRST5.EXE
  276072US._01
  276072US._02
  SP3080.DOC

3. Obtain 2 formatted 1.44-MB diskettes.

4. To create the diskettes, run QRST5 and follow the 
   on-screen instructions.

5. After the diskettes are created, you may delete the 
   downloaded file SP3080.EXE and the other files created 
   on your hard drive if you wish.

6. Refer to README.1ST on the first diskette for
   installation instructions and additional information.
