DESCRIPTION:  The Compaq Survey Utility is an online agent that captures 
critical hardware and operating system configuration information on 
Compaq servers without interrupting server operation.  It automates a 
configuration history log, allowing administrators to identify and 
compare configuration changes.

Changes in Version 1.07:
- Added support for the Compaq ProLiant 6000.
- Added support for the Compaq ProLiant 850R.
- Added support for the Compaq Integrated Management Log.
- Service and Driver version information has been moved up to 
  Advanced level.  Previously, this was only available at Expert 
  level.  Now a subset of the version is available at Advanced 
  level, which is the default filtering level.
- Added SCSI physical drive statistics and drive error logs at 
  Expert filter level.
- Added internal version checking to insure that the messages 
  available correspond to the executable version of Survey.
- Fixed a bug in the NT version which could make the program crash 
  is rare cases due to a bug in our compression algorithm.
- Fixed a program crash that could occur on non-PCI servers with 
  older ROMs.  We found this problem on a ProLiant 2000 machine 
  with an older ROM.  With a newer ROM, the problem goes away.  
  Now we avoid making certain PCI calls if PCI is not supported 
  by the machine.  This works with old ROMs also.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a temporary directory on your hard drive 
    and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
    SP2957.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2957 [ENTER]
    The following files should be created:

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
    SP2957.EXE if you wish.

4.  Refer to SP2957.DOC and README.TXT for instructions on installing
    and using the software.
