DESCRIPTION: Creates the MS-DOS IDE CD-ROM driver diskette for
Compaq internal IDE CD-ROM drives in the desktop computers listed
above. It contains drivers for 4x and higher-speed CD-ROM drives.
HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and
change to that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP2948.EXE.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2948 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44-MB diskette into a
diskette drive to create the diskette.
4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP2948.EXE if you wish.
5. To install, insert the diskette in drive A: and enter:
a:\cpqinst
Follow on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
