DESCRIPTION:  Version 1.20 Rev C (or earlier) of Compaq Support 
Software for Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 writes an incorrect value for 
the CPQNF3 key in the Windows NT Registry during the installation 
of the NetFlex-3 driver.  This may generate unnecessary NT event 
log entries.

The CPQNF3 key is in the following registry path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\CPQNF3

The value entry should be "TypesSupported" instead of 
"TypeSupported."
The program REGFIX.EXE makes this correction. 

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and 
change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
SP2913.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2913 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
REGFIX.EXE
README.TXT

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded 
file SP2913.EXE if you wish.

4.  Execute REGFIX.EXE from a command prompt to correct the 
misspelled value in the CPQNF3 registry key.
