DESCRIPTION:  Replacing the system board on a Compaq Professional 
Workstation 5000 may result in the message "Invalid electronic serial 
number" during POST.  Versions 1.03 and earlier of the Professional 
Workstation 5000 SETUP Utility do not allow the user to correct this 
condition.  Future versions of SETUP will.  As an interim solution, 
Compaq is providing the program I15_D820.COM.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2817.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2817 [ENTER]
    The following files should be created in that directory:
    I15_D820.COM
    README.TXT
    SP2817.DOC

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2817.EXE if you wish.

4.  Refer to README.TXT for instructions on using the software.
