WARNING:  The video drivers on this diskette will only work 
with Windows NT 4.00.  Installing these drivers on other versions of this 
operating system will prevent the video sub-system from working 
reliably.

DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Compaq Windows NT 4.0 Display Driver 
Support Diskette, which contains the latest graphics drivers 
for the Windows NT 4.00 operating system running on the affected Compaq 
products.  This release supports multiple QVision 1280/I/E/P controllers.  
It supports the Cirrus Logic 5434, 5436, and 5446 Graphics Controllers. 
Not all graphics drivers are on this diskette.  For graphics controllers 
which do not have drivers on this diskette, use the graphics drivers 
which are shipped with Windows NT or the graphics drivers which are 
shipped by Compaq on separate diskettes.
- Adds the "Monitor selection" item to the "Compaq" tab page 
(this feature was not in the driver for Windows NT 3.51).
- Corrects Winbench '97 "Kernel mode exception" error on QVision controllers.
- Corrects "GPF" which occurs while playing AVI files on Cirrus Logic controllers.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2810.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2810 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2810.EXE if you wish.

5.  Select: 
Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Settings tab/Display Type
Verify from the screen display that the Adapter Type is 
Cirrus-compatible or QVision-compatible (1024/I/E or 1280/I/E/P).
If it is, then continue to select:
Change/Have Disk
You will be prompted to place the installation disk into a 
diskette drive to install the driver.

6.  Insert the newly created driver diskette into Drive A and select OK.

7.  Follow the prompts to complete the installation and restart the 
computer.
