DESCRIPTION:  Creates two driver files that allow IBM or IBM compatiable 
SDLC cards to work in Compaq computers with a Pentium or Pentium Pro 
processor.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive, for example 
C:\SDLC, and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
SP2743.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2743 [ENTER]
Th following files should be created:
CPQSDLC.SYS
CPQ1C01.COM 
CPQSDLC.DOC

3. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2743.EXE if you wish.

4.  Edit the CONFIG.SYS file and add a line for CPQSDLC.SYS as shown in 
the example below. 
IMPORTANT:  The CPQSDLC.SYS device driver line must precede the 
EMM386.EXE program, or an exception error will occur.

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=C:\SDLC\CPQSDLC.SYS
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE 

5. Edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT file and add the CPQ1C01 command.  Be sure the 
directory where the CPQ1C01.COM program resides is in the DOS path.

6. Reboot the computer.
