DESCRIPTION: This Softpaq creates the OS/2 Support Software Diskette
for Compaq Version 2.13 Rev A. For complete information
on changes and enhancements to the OS/2 2.x Support
Software diskette, see WHATSNEW.RDM on the generated
diskette.
UPDATES:
1. Compaq BIOS-32 Driver
The Compaq BIOS-32 Driver, CPQB32.SYS v2.00, is required for
Integrated Management Log support on the Compaq ProLiant 6000
and ProLiant 6500 servers. It has been updated to support the
Integrated Management Log with the Remote Insight Board.
2. Compaq SCSI-2 Driver Updates for OS/2
The SCSI driver, CPQ53CX.ADD v2.31 has been updated to support the
Integrated Management Log on ProLiant 6000 and ProLiant 6500.
3. Compaq Array Driver Updates for OS/2
The Array driver, CPQARRAY.ADD v3.16 has been updated to support
the Integrated Management Log on the ProLiant 6000 and ProLiant 6500 Servers.
4. Compaq Health Driver updates for OS/2
The Health driver, CPQHLTH.SYS v3.20 has been updated to
support monitoring of hot-pluggable fans, hot-pluggable power
supplies and digital temperature on ProLiant 6500 servers
5. Compaq NetFlex-3 Driver updates for OS/2
The NetFlex-3 driver for OS/2, NETFLX3.OS2 v1.70 has been
updated to support :
o Compaq Netelligent 10 T/2 PCI UTP/COAX Controllers.
o Integrated NetFlex-3 controller on Compaq Desktop machines
6. Compaq NetFlex-3 Driver updates for DOS
The NetFlex-3 driver for DOS, NETFLX3.DOS v1.64 has been
updated to support :
o Compaq Netelligent 10 T/2 PCI UTP/COAX Controllers.
o Integrated NetFlex-3 controller on Compaq Desktop machines
7. Compaq Remote Insight Board Driver Updates for OS/2
The Remote Insight Board driver, CPQRIB.SYS v2.00 has been updated
to support the Integrated Management Log on ProLiant 6000 and
ProLiant 6500.
8. Compaq EIDE Driver updates for OS/2
The Compaq Bus Master IDE Driver for OS/2, CPQEIDE.ADD v 1.03
is a maintenance release with no functional changes from v 1.00. The driver
provides support for the Compaq Enhanced IDE Controller on the Compaq
Servers - ProLiant 6500, ProLiant 6000, ProLiant 2500, ProLiant 800,
ProLiant 850R, Prosignia 200 and ProSignia 200 6/233.
HOW TO USE:
1.Download the Softpaq to an empty directory on your
hard drive and change to that directory. The file that
is downloaded is SP2720.EXE.
2.From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq file:
SP2720[ENTER]
The following files should be created:
QRST5.EXE
275069US._01
SP2720.DOC
3. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.
4. To create a diskette, run QRST5 and follow the on-screen
instructions.
5. After the diskette is created, you may delete the
downloaded file SP2720.EXE and the other files created
on your hard drive if you wish.
6. Refer to README.1ST on the diskette for
installation instructions and additional information.
