DESCRIPTION:  Creates a modem ROMPaq diskette that allows a user to 
upgrade the Compaq Data/Fax 288 Modem to a 33.6-Kbps modem.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2636.EXE.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
   SP2636 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2636.EXE if you wish.

5. Power down the notebook.

6. Place the newly created ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A:, power up the 
notebook on AC power, and follow the on-screen instructions.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING
           THIS PROCEDURE!
