DESCRIPTION:  
The Compaq Survey Utility is an online agent that captures critical hardware 
and operating system configuration information on Compaq servers without 
interrupting server operation.  It automates a configuration history log, 
allowing administrators to identify and compare configuration changes.

Changes in Version 1.05:
- Adds support for new products.
- Adds capture of storage box information.
- Improves display of PCI slot information and bridges, minimizing the 
  situations where a board's slot cannot be identified.
- Adds a check for the system health driver when Survey runs.  If it is
  not loaded, then one is loaded from the Survey directory.  This allows
  collecting as much information as possible.
- Adds capture of Monitor and Performance information for drives on array
  controllers.  This is stored at Statistics level, but is viewable at
  Advanced level if a threshold is exceeded.
- Adds Statistics level.
- Adds SCSI bus device type (875, 825, 810) to Smart-2 controller info at
  Statistics level.
- Fixes program crash on some ProLiant 5000's with newer system 
  ROMs and 2 memory boards.
- Fixes system crash on Microsoft NT 3.5 when configured with an array 
  controller and Microsoft build 807 driver, cpqarray.sys 
   (11/23/94 8:07:24).
  Other early drivers may have had similar problems.

The included RELEASE.TXT file lists new functionality.

 HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a temporary directory on your hard drive 
    and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
    SP2566.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2566 [ENTER]
    The following files should be created:
        survey.exe
        surveyor.exe
        halhook.sys
        mssngrus.dll
        mssngrjp.dll
        survey.ref
        survey.hlp
        survey.cnt
        surveynt.pez
        SP2566.DOC

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
    SP2566.EXE if you wish.

4.  Refer to SP2566.DOC and README.TXT for instructions on installing
    and using the software.
