PREREQUISITE:  Requires a licensed copy of Compaq Insight Management 
Agents Version 3.10 for Windows NT for each server to be upgraded to 
Version 3.10 Rev B.

DESCRIPTION:  Contains patch files to upgrade Compaq Insight Management 
Agents Version 3.10 for Window NT to Version 3.10 Rev B, which resolves 
the following issues: 
- If a Windows NT 4.0 server is rebooted immediately after clearing the 
EventLog, the Insight Agents service is not able to process and deliver 
SNMP traps.  An event indicating this situtation is entered in the 
EventLog.  It is necessary to reboot the server to re-enable trap 
processing.
- If the NIC Subservice is disabled in the Insight Agents control panel 
and a product attempts to get NIC information via SNMP, the SNMP service 
causes a process exception and stops.  It is necessary to re-enable the 
NIC Subservice and reboot the server. 

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2447.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2447 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
PATCH.EXE
PATCH.RTP
SP2447.DOC

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2447.EXE if you wish.

4.  Place a diskette with Compaq Insight Agents Version 3.10 for Windows 
NT in drive A.  (Refer to the Compaq Insight Agents for Microsoft 
Windows NT Users Guide for information on creating a diskette.)

5.  Execute the patch program as follows: 
    PATCH A:\

6.  The patch program will update the diskette to Compaq Insight Agents 
Version 3.10 Rev B for Windows NT.

7.  Use this diskette to upgrade your existing Insight Agents. 
 (Refer to the Users Guide for information on upgrading the 
Insight Agents from diskette.)
