DESCRIPTION:  This creates a ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for the 
Compaq Deskpro.  The diskette can be created on a 1.44-MB drive or an 
LS-120 drive.  It upgrades the System ROM on Deskpro and ProLinea units 
with a 486Y Family ROM to the 08/29/96 version.  The ROM Family and ROM 
date can be determined by running F10 Setup.  
- Errors resolved by this version:
  - Incorrect address display with 201 memory error
  - No video with Artist PCI Video
- Removes 12-bit aliases in order to support PCI to PCI bridges under 
  Windows 95.
- Resolves conflict between PCI to PCI bridges and devices on bus 0.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2441.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2441 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2441.EXE if you wish.

5.  Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle system 
power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to select the 08/29/96 Compaq 
System ROM and flash the firmware.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING THIS 
PROCEDURE!
