DESCRIPTION: Creates the Systems ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette
for Compaq ProLiant 800 and 2500 Servers. This release provides
updated system ROM images for both the Proliant 800 and 2500.
Enhancements

ProLiant 2500 ROM E24 (12/30/96):
- Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).
ProLiant 800 ROM P02 (01/08/97):
- Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).
- Give 178 error when going from single to multiprocessors, to
cause user to run System Configuration Utility.
Fixes

ProLiant 2500 ROM E24 (12/30/96):
- Pressing F1 will boot a bootable CD if it is inserted after
the F1/F10 message is displayed.
- Adds PCI Bridge device enhancements.
- Corrects system lockups during POST after NT shutdown/restart
- Adds support for the Compaq Integrated Management Display.
- Fixes a problem which could hang Windows NT 4.0 upon reboot with
a Matrox Millenium PCI card installed.
ProLiant 800 ROM P02 (01/08/97):
- The Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller is now correctly detected
as a Compaq board.
- Fixes a condition which could result in a '101 - I/O ROM Error'
when multiple SMART-2 Controllers are installed.
- Fixes a condition which could cause problems for devices which
have Intel's i960RP Chip.
HOW TO USE:
1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.
2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive
and change to that directory. The file that is downloaded
is SP2405.EXE.
3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq
file: SP2405 [ENTER]You will be prompted to place the
formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create the diskette.
4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the
downloaded file SP2405.EXE if you wish.
5. Refer to the README file(s) on the diskette for specific
upgrade instructions and additional help.
