DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Systems ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette 
for Compaq SystemPro/XL and Compaq ProSignia Servers.  This release 
provides updated system ROM images for the SystemPro/XL, ProSignia VS,
ProSignia 200 and ProSignia 300/500  servers.  


SystemPro/XL - ROM 386E4  (12/30/96):
Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).


ProSignia  -  ROM 386E5  (12/30/96):
Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).


ProSignia -  ROM E8  (12/30/96):
Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).


ProSignia VS - ROM E11  (12/30/96):
Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20
in the Real-Time Clock (RTC).


ProSignia 300/500 - ROM E15  (12/30/96):
Anytime the date is read using the BIOS INT1A function, check
if the year has rolled over to 00 and update the century to 20

ProSignia 200 - ROM P01  (01/31/97):
Fixes possible problem with Sanyo CDROM timing out during POST.



IMPORTANT:  In order to upgrade the System Partition for the 
ProSignia 200, the user must first upgrade to System Configuration 
Utility Version 2.33 Rev B, available in Compaq SmartStart 3.21 and 
SoftPaq SP2881.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory. The file that is downloaded is SP2403.EXE.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file: 
SP2403 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2403.EXE if you wish.

5. Refer to the README file on the diskette for specific upgrade 
instructions and additional help.
