DESCRIPTION:  Use these files to upgrade Netelligent 8500 Multi-Protocol 
Routers to Netelligent 8500 Open Communications Platform Version 1.1. 
Contains the CISCO IOS, drivers, firmware, and SASH (Standalone Shell) 
Utility, Version 1.11.

IOS0913.EXE (dated 9-13-96) has the following features: 
1. Frame Relay/compression/MLB
2. PPP with Compression
3. Router Synchronization
4. X.21 signaling
5. IPX routing tables

100196BX.BIN (dated 10-01-96) has the following fixes: 
1. Resolved PCI bus timing problem when four TLAN adapters are 
installed.
2. Modified the PCI BIOS so that the PCI device search order appears as 
if it was from the bottom most slot to the topmost.

In the SASH (Standalone Shell) Utility Version 1.11, the LED will go 
solid green only if the IOS is spawned.  Also, if the IOS is not 
present, the LED will flash twice in amber.  This will prevent the 
confusion caused by a solid light when the pccard is unplugged.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2384.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2384 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
100196BX.BIN
IOS0913.EXE
INSTALL.BAT
SP2384.DOC
README.TXT

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2384.EXE if you wish.

4.  Refer to README.TXT for detailed instructions on installing and 
using the software.
