DESCRIPTION:  This creates the ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for the 
Compaq Deskpro, which upgrades the System ROM on Deskpro 4000/6000 units 
with a 686G5 Family ROM to the 08/26/96 version.  The ROM Family and ROM 
date can be determined by running F10 Setup.  
Updates/Fixes:
- Fixes a rare cold boot problem that would cause the system to hang 
occasionally while booting. 
- Now supports PCI to PCI bridges under Win95. 
- Now correctly recognizes a second 3.5" Floppy drive. 
- FDISK utility can now see IDE hard disk drives that are slaved off of 
an LS-120 drive. 
- If default settings are loaded from setup, the power-on password is 
preserved. 
- Fixes a network server mode anamoly. 
- The video BIOS fixes 1152x864 @ 70Hz mode.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2363.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2263 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2363.EXE if you wish.

5.  Keeping the newly created diskette in the A: drive, cycle system 
power to boot from the ROMPaq diskette.

6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to select the 08/26/96 Compaq 
System ROM and flash the firmware.
