PREREQUISITE:  On Windows 95 systems, this SoftPaq requires that
Windows 95 was either pre-installed on the unit by Compaq or was
installed or upgraded using the Microsoft Windows 95 CD.   This is
because these agents work in conjunction with intelligent features
provided by Microsoft on the Windows 95 CD.  In addition the SNMP
should also be installed.


DESCRIPTION:  Creates Compaq Intelligent Manageability
Agents for Portables for Microsoft Windows 95 diskette.
This product provides local alerting and SNMP agents for
Compaq Portable Computers supporting Intelligent Manageability.
Local alerting notifies the user if the system temperature has been
exceeded normal operating conditions or an imminent drive failure has been
detected.  SNMP agents allow the system to be managed by SNMP-compliant
management applications such as Compaq Insight Manager.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2337.EXE.

2. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44MB diskette and place it in one of your
diskette drives.

3. Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskette:  SP2337[ENTER]

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP2337.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing
and using the software.
