(Note:  SP2169 and SP1956 contain identical ROMPaqs; however, 
SP2169 is able to create the ROMPaq diskette on an LS-120 drive, and 
SP1956 is not.)

DESCRIPTION:  This creates the ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade Diskette for the 
Compaq Deskpro  XL on a 1.44-MB drive or an LS-120 drive.  The diskette 
upgrades the System ROM on a DeskPro XL to a 05 Oct 1995 System ROM. 
The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running F10 Setup.  
This 10/31/94 version adds support for the DeskPro XL 6150 and 
DeskPro XL 6200 products.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2169.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2169 [ENTER] 
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2169.EXE if you wish.

5.  Power down the desktop machine.

6.  Place the newly created Compaq DeskPro XL ROMPaq Diskette in 
Drive A: and power up the desktop unit.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE SYSTEM WHILE PERFORMING THIS 
PROCEDURE!
