EFFECTIVE DATE:  21 Aug 1996

PRODUCTS AFFECTED:  Any Compaq products (such as Deskpro and ProLinea 
desktops and minitowers) using a Matrox Millennium display adapter. To 
determine if your computer has a Matrox Millennium adapter, run the 
Compaq System Configuration Utility or F10 Setup.

OPERATING SYSTEM:  MS-DOS 6.2 or greater

SUPERSEDES:  N/A

DESCRIPTION:  Forces the Matrox Millennium video adapter to 132 column 
mode in DOS.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2162.EXE.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2162 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
MM132.COM 
SP2162.DOC 
Note:  SP2162.DOC is a copy of this documentation file.

3. After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2162.EXE if you wish.

4. Copy MM132.COM to the CPQDOS directory.
Example:   COPY MM132.COM \CPQDOS

5. Run MM132.COM either via a batch file or manually.  
The screen will then remain in 132 column mode until you:
- Type MODE CO80
     or
- Start another program that changes the video mode (i.e. Windows).
