TITLE: CPQFlash Utility for Evo D310/D510 and W4000 SFF DDR (686O2 ROM)

VERSION: 2.14 Rev A
DESCRIPTION:
This SoftPaq creates files that contain the CPQFlash utility and a binary image of the
System ROM for the Evo models listed below with a 686O2 Family ROM.

The CPQFlash utility is used to locally flash the System ROM on PCs through a Windows
environment.

The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing
F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System
Information. This information can be saved into a text file by selecting File/Save to Diskette.

NOTE: This is the same System ROM version that was originally included on the above models.
It is not an upgrade. It is made available here as a convenience for users who may need to
restore it to their computer for any reason.

 - Corrects a problem with "NCI 3270 Coax/PCI" PCI card in the system.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a
self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. It is recommended
to create a directory called COMPAQ\CPQFlash and copy the SoftPaq to that directory.

2. Refer to the CPQFlash utility documentation (CPQFlash.txt) for further instructions on using
the CPQFlash utility to flash the System ROM on your PC.

WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING THE
