DESCRIPTION: The version 1.14 Compaq Presario Modem drivers have been
             created to relieve the problem encountered with speakerphone
             failure after installation of an HP ScanJet.

SUPERCEDES:  This is the first SoftPaq release for this modem.

HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2146.EXE.

2. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44MB diskette and place it in one of your
diskette drives.

3. Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskette:  SP2146 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP2146.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing
and using the software.
