TITLE: iPAQ H3800 Backup File Restoration Utility

DESCRIPTION: This utility allows the user to restore a backup file on an iPAQ H3800
with a backup that was made from a unit with a different processor revision.  

Use this SoftPaq if you are unable to do a restore when you get your unit back from service.

The error message this corrects is: 

  "The restore could not be completed successfully because the selected backup was 
   created from a different type of model."

The current version of Activesync (3.1 and 3.5) detects changes in the processor revision 
and prevents the restore.  This utility modifies your existing backup file to be compatible 
with either a B4 or B5 processor revision.

To change your current backup file, You first need to determine the processor revision on your 
replacement unit.  To do this tap on Start, Settings, System, Asset Viewer, System, and look
at the Processor Revision. (Example: If the processor revision is a B5, then choose "Change to 
B5 backup" when prompted.)

HOW TO USE:

       1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
          The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename 
          based on the SoftPaq Number above.

       2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to 
          unpack the patch files. 

       3. Execute H38Patcher.exe and follow the on screen instruction.
