SYSTEM CONFIGURATION: 
For full functionality of this utility, Armada 4100 Series 
notebooks require a minimum System ROM of 12/09/96 
(available in Softpaq SP2454).  
LTE 5000 Series notebooks require a minimum System ROM 
of 09/17/96 for this utility, and a ROM upgrade is highly 
recommended to the 11/15/96 Version 5.50 (available in 
Softpaq SP2452) or a later version if available.
Use the Inspect option of F10 Setup to check the System ROM Date.

DESCRIPTION:  Creates the Compaq Intelligent Manageability 
Agents for Portables for Microsoft Windows 95 diskette.  
This product provides local alerting and SNMP agents for 
Compaq Portable Computers supporting Intelligent Manageability. 
Local alerting notifies the user if the system temperature has 
Been exceeded normal operating conditions or an imminent drive 
failure has been detected.  SNMP agents allow the system to be 
managed by SNMP-compliant management applications such as Compaq 
Insight Manager.

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain 1 formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the Softpaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2055.EXE.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the Softpaq file:
   SP2055 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a 
diskette drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2055.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing 
and using the software.
