HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a 
self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the SoftPaq by double clicking on the SoftPaq executable file, and follow any
on-screen instructions.

*  If your hardware is not already installed...

   3. Install your hardware.

   4. The Hardware Update Wizard should appear. Point the wizard to the download directory
      containing the driver files and it will complete the installation.

   5. To finish, go again to the Softpaq download directory and click SETUP.EXE to install 
      the configuration utility for configuring the settings for the Wireless PC Card.


* If your hardware is already installed...

   3. From the start menu, click settings, then the Control Panel icon.  Once the Control 
      Panel window maximizes, click the System icon.  Browse the tabs at the top and click 
      the Device Manager button.  

   4. After Device Manager opens, find the Network Adapters label and expand it by clicking 
      the plus sign.  Locate the Compaq Wireless PC Card Adapter and click your right mouse 
      button.  Click Properties.  Select the Driver tab.  Click Update Driver.  

   5. The Hardware Update Wizard will appear.  Point the wizard to the download directory
      containing the driver files and it will complete the installation.

   6. To finish, go again to the Softpaq download directory and click SETUP.EXE to install 
      the configuration utility for configuring the settings for the Wireless PC Card.
