DESCRIPTION:  Contains the files to create the NetWare Programs From 
Compaq (NPFC) Diskette and the NetWare Programs From Compaq Supplement 
Diskette. 
The NPFC and NPFC Supplement diskettes contain NetWare drivers, NetWare 
Loadable Modules (NLMs), and support information to optimize the 
performance of NetWare on Compaq servers.  This software enhances the 
performance of Compaq options such as Compaq Drive Array controllers, 
Compaq 32-Bit SCSI-2 controllers, and Compaq CD-ROM drives.  
The readme files for NPFC and NPFC Supplement are available as WINHELP 
files.  To obtain the WINHELP files, download SoftPaq SP2012.

The WHATSNEW.RDM file, found on each NPFC diskette, contains detailed 
information about the updates, new features, and fixes in this version.  
Some of the highlights include:

- CPQNF3.LAN has been enhanced to support the Integrated 10/100 TX UTP 
controller in the Compaq ProLiant 2500.
- CPQNF3.LAN has added the AUI keyword for the Attachment Unit Interface 
Connector.  By default, the driver auto-senses the network speed on the 
UTP connector.  However, to use the AUI connector, the AUI keyword must 
be present in the driver load command.

- CPQNF3.COM has been enhanced to support the Integrated 10/100 TX UTP 
controller in the Compaq ProLiant 2500.
- CPQNF3.COM has added the AUI keyword for the Attachment Unit Interface 
Connector.  By default, the driver auto-senses the network speed on the 
UTP connector.  However, to use the AUI connector, the AUI keyword must 
be present in the "LINK DRIVER CPQNF3" section of the NET.CFG file.

- CPQNF3.SYS has been enhanced to support the Integrated 10/100 TX UTP

- CPQS710.DSK has been enhanced to autoload in future versions of 
NetWare.
- CPQS710.DSK has been enhanced to support the Compaq Integrated 
Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller.

- CPQSTAPE.DSK v1.18 corrects a problem that occurs when using the 
NetWare 3.12 SBACKUP.NLM module.  The message, "Error 0xFFFE mounting 
media.  Invalid blocksize detected," displays when mounting a tape with 
CPQSTAPE.DSK versions 1.16 or 1.17.

- FWS2ASPI.SYS has been updated to avoid problems with the server 
hanging when FWS2ASPI.SYS v1.02 is loaded with CPQS710.DSK v2.04.
- CPQIDECD.SYS is the DOS driver for IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM support.
- IDEATA.HAM provides support for IDE controllers.
- IDECD.CDM provides support for IDE CD-ROM devices.  This device driver 
may be used with any NetWare application that uses the NWPA Media 
Manager Interface to communicate with devices.
- CPQHLTH.NLM has been enhanced to provide support to the Compaq Insight 
Management agents to communicate with the Integrated Remote Console 
(IRC).

- CPQRI.NLM has been updated to correct a problem that occurs when CPQRI 
is automatically loaded by the Insight Agent (CPQRISA.NLM) and no Remote 
Insight Board is installed.
- CPQRI.NLM has been enhanced to support alternate video drivers that 
control the Remote Insight Board's remote console features.

CPQONLIN.NLM Updates:
- The Advanced Network Control Utility now provides a Detailed 
Statistics screen for examining the operation of NetFlex-3 controller 
pairs.
- The Array Configuration Utility has been enhanced to provide more 
descriptive feedback during hotplug operations.

- CPQPSM.NLM has been enhanced to support the Compaq ProLiant 2500.
- CPQUPS.NLM v2.03 has been updated to support future products.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain two formatted 1.44 MB diskettes.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2011.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP2011 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskettes into a 
diskette drive to create the diskettes.

4.  After the diskettes are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP2011.EXE if you wish.

5.  Run README.COM on one of the newly created diskettes for an NPFC 
overview and installation instructions.
