DESCRIPTION:  This contains a patch file to fix the problem where the 
License Service is not running properly after using Compaq SmartStart 
3.0 or earlier to install MS Windows NT 3.51 on a server.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive or to a 
diskette and change to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is 
SP1996.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP1996 [ENTER]
The following files should be created:
LICENSE.EXE
SP1996.DOC
README.TXT

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP1996.EXE if you wish.

4.  From the download directory or diskette, run the self-extracting 
file LICENSE.EXE to create the following files:
FIX.CMD
LICENSE.INI
REGINI.EXE

5.  Run FIX.CMD and then reboot the system.
