DESCRIPTION:  

This version of the Firmware should be used ONLY WHEN the Remote
Insight Lights-Out Edition is installed in a server with a
Compaq PCI KVM Switch OR is installed in a server that is connected
to an Avocent Cybex KVM Switchbox.

It is NOT RECOMMENDED that a Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition be
installed in the same server as a PCI KVM Switch Manager.
This may result in a situation in which the entire PCI KVM Switch
system is not accessible while the manager service is being accessed
through the RILOE.

This patch has undergone only limited testing based on reported customer
issues. It is provided as a convenience to customers who may be expriencing
issues listed below while operating in this configuration.

This configuration is unsupported.  Use this firmware version at your own risk.  


Enhancements/Fixes:

This version of the firmware fixes an issue where when powering on a
server configured with Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition and a
Compaq PCI KVM Switch OR Avocent Cybex KVM Switchbox, the locally
attached mouse may appear to be disabled.


HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4.  After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Insert and reboot the server with the Remote Insight Lights-Out
Edition from the diskette. Follow the directions in ROMPaq when it starts.
