DESCRIPTION:  Unpacks the files needed to install the full version of
              Compaq Insight Manager 7 SP1


ENHANCEMENTS FROM Compaq Insight Manager 7:

1. Blade Management - Best-in-class management for Compaq ProLiant BL e-Class 
   and p-Class servers.  New enhancements for blade management include the 
   ability to visualize each blade and its position within the blade 
   enclosure and event correlation capabilities that aggregate multiple, 
   redundant events that may result from failures in shared infrastructure 
   components.  
2. Reporting - The new reporting engine makes it easy for system 
   administrators to create comprehensive inventory reports including 
   system name, serial number, IP address, and owner; all disk, CPU, and 
   memory resources; and all OS and system software resources.
3. Discovery Filters - Now has the ability to limit discovery to specific
   device types (servers, desktops, printers, etc). 


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting
   executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file.  It
   will unpack the files, and run 'install.bat'.  This will present
   a menu similar to the following:

     1 - View "User's Guide" (Adobe format)
           
     2 - View "Release Notes" (Adobe format)
           
     3 - (OPTIONAL) Install Microsoft Database Engine (MSDE).  Only
         select this option if you will NOT be using Microsoft SQL Server.
           
     4 - Install Compaq Insight Manager 7 SP 1 (Japanese)
           
     E - Exit menu

3. It is recommended that you view the "User's Guide"
   and the "Release notes" before selecting to install Compaq 
   Insight Manager 7.   These documents are in .pdf format and
   require Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing.

4. After the installation files have been created, you may delete the
   self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.

6. After a successful installation, you may delete the files unpacked
   in step 2 if you wish.
