DESCRIPTION:
Compaq Server Diagnostics will display information about the computer's
hardware and  test the computer to ensure it is operating properly.



ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES

Removed extra SCSI bus resets that sometimes created race conditions in the code when dealing with tape drives.
Fixed diagnostics induced time out errors.  Caused by inadequent time out values for tape drives and extra bus reset race conditions.
Fixed problem with AIT35 Drives showing as unknown scsi tape drive.
Corrected problem in s10.38A with ML-370s and DL-380s not showing a tape drive attached to the internal scsi bus if a 5300 Controller was in the system and connected to the internal hot plug drive cage.

NOTES:




HOW TO USE:
1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded
is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number.

2.  Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Pressing
"Space Bar" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in
the download directory. The diskette image file, the image extraction tool, and
the batch file to create the diskette are unpacked into this newly created
directory.

3.  After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the
self-extracting file downloaded in step one, as well as the directory folder
and files created in step two.

4.  Go to the system that you want to run Server Diagnostics on and power down
the system.

5.  Place the newly created Diagnostics diskette in Drive A:, and power up the
system.

6.  The system should then boot to Compaq Server Diagnostics.
