DESCRIPTION:  
      This is a one diskette release of Options ROMPaq for SCSI Hard Drive
      Model # BF03665223. It contains the latest firmware ROM images for drive
      model # BF03665223 attached to Compaq Smart Array controllers as well as 
      non-intelligent SCSI controllers.

	Disk 1 - Smart Array Drives

* NOTE: This Option ROMPaq does not contain firmware images for any
        Compaq tape drives. Obtain the latest Tape Options ROMPaq
	from the Compaq Web site to get the latest tape drive
	firmware from Compaq.  

* NOTE: This Option ROMPaq does not contain firmware images for the 
        Compaq Smart Array Controllers. Obtain the latest Options ROMPaq
	for Array Controllers from the Compaq Web site to get the 
        latest Smart Array Controller firmware from Compaq.

	    Made SMART technology enhancements to hard drive 
	    model # BF03665223 F/W from B012 to B014

HOW TO USE:

1. Obtain One(1) formatted 1.44-MB diskette.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change 
   to that directory.  The file that is downloaded is an executable with 
   a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

3. From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file 
   and follow the on-screen instructions.  You will be prompted to 
   insert the formatted diskette in a drive to create the diskette.

4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the  
   SoftPaq file downloaded in step 2.

5. Options ROMPaq diskette #1 is the only self-booting diskette.  Place 
   ROMPaq diskette #1 into your drive A: diskette drive and power cycle your
   system to begin updating the appropriate components.
