PREREQUISITES: The operating system device drivers for each of the 
  array controller(s) of interest must be installed prior to running
  the Compaq Array Diagnostic Utility (ADU) in order for the ADU to 
  properly detect the controller(s) and provide acurate diagnostic 
  information.

DESCRIPTION:  This SoftPaq contains all the files necessary for 
  installing the Compaq Array Diagnostic Utility under Windows
  NT 4.0 and Windows 2000.
 
ENHANCEMENTS/FIXES:
  - Added support for the Compaq Smart Array Cluster Storage
    Controller.
  - Fixed reporting of more than 16 logical units on 
    SA221 and SA431 controllers.
  - Updated disabled codes to support ADG post error reporting.


HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The SoftPaq
   file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a file
   name based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Press the Y key to confirm the unpacking of files into the download 
   directory. 

4. After the files have been unpacked, you may delete the self-
   extracting SoftPaq file downloaded in step 1.

5. [OPTIONAL] To create 2 diskettes containing the software, execute 
   the file named MAKEDISK.BAT, which was created in the download 
   directory in step 3.
   
6. To install the software on your Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 
   system, execute the file named SETUP.EXE, which is located in the 
   folder named DISK1, which was created in the download directory 
   (or on diskette #1 if diskettes were created in step 5.)  Follow 
   the onscreen instructions to complete the software installation.

7. After the installation is completed, you may delete the files 
   unpacked in step 2.
