SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:  Only applicable to systems running 
Compaq Insight Manager. 

PREREQUISITE:  Compaq Support Software Diskette (SSD) for Windows NT 
Version 1.17 or 1.18 must be installed with Compaq Systems 
Management support.  Windows NT SSD Ver 1.18 is available in Softpaq 
SP1581. 

SUPERSEDES:  N/A 

DESCRIPTION:  Contains a driver file that corrects the problem where 
error logs of correctable memory errors are not clearable through Compaq 
Insight Manager on some machines.  This driver update will not be 
required for Compaq Support Software Diskette (SSD) for Windows  NT 
Version 1.19.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP1955.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
    SP1955 [ENTER]
The following files will be created:
SYSMGMT.SYS
UPDATE.CMD

3.  If the machine to be updated is not the download machine, copy the 
two files created in 2 above to a diskette.

4.  To install the driver update, execute the UPDATE command from the 
hard drive or from the diskette created in 3 above:
    UPDATE [ENTER]

5.  Restart the system for the changes to take effect.
