OPERATING SYSTEM:  Microsoft Windows 95

DESCRIPTION:  This creates a diskette which contains the Compaq Insight 
Management Desktop Agents for Windows 95.  This release supports the new 
Compaq Deskpro 4000 and 6000 models.  Compaq Insight Management Desktop 
Agents operate on Compaq Desktop computers that have Intelligent 
Manageability features, monitoring the health of the system and 
generating alert notification for the system administrator if a 
performance degradation such as a disk fault or temperature condition is 
detected.  The software includes SNMP agents for managing the system 
with an SNMP-compliant management application, like Compaq Insight 
Manager or the Arcada Backup Exec SMART Client.

PREREQUISITE:  Because these agents work in conjunction with intelligent 
features provided by Microsoft on the Windows 95 CD, this Softpaq 
requires that Windows 95 was either pre-installed on the unit by Compaq 
or was installed or upgraded using the Microsoft Windows 95 CD.

HOW TO USE

1. Obtain one (1) formatted 1.44MB diskette and place it in one of your 
diskette drives.

2. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file downloaded to your hard drive is SP1945.EXE.

3. Execute the SoftPaq file to create the diskette:
   SP1945 [ENTER]

4. After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file 
SP1945.EXE if you wish.

5. Read all README files on the diskettes before running SETUP to 
install.

6. To start the installation from Windows 95, select Start, Run, enter 
A:\SETUP, and follow the instructions as they are presented on the 
screen.

7. After completing the installation, view the help file (INTMGMT.HLP) 
by selecting the help icon(s) in the Compaq Information Center groupbox.
