DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated system ROM images
               for the latest maintenance releases of Compaq 
               ProLiant ML530 Servers.

        ============================================

		Fix issue where some Compaq Environment Variables could not be 
		modified if an Administrative Password was enabled but not typed 
		in during POST.  This could cause certain Compaq drivers and agents 
		to not load or perform improperly if an Administrative Password was enabled.

		Prevent system from hanging when Type 2 PCI Cards are installed in the
		system. Type 2 cards are not supported in the PCI Specification, and we do not
		support them (they are incredibly rare).  Instead of hanging, the ROM will
		display an unsupported PCI card message.

		Fix issue with ROM mouse support for higher speed systems.

		Fix issue with unnecessary POST delay for some 40X CD-ROM Drives.

		Fix problem with the system hanging on a 101-IO ROM ERROR message
		(indicating a corrupt option ROM checksum during POST). After flashing 
		the server with this release of the System ROM the server may continue
		to display the 101-IO Option ROM error during POST, but the system will
		not hang.

		Fix SMBIOS entry for 4GB support.  The size of the last DIMM was 
		incorrect, causing some utilities to report the last DIMM's size
		incorrectly..



HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP19170.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP19170 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP19170.EXE if you wish.

5.  Refer to README.TXT on the diskette for instructions on installing and using the
software.
