DESCRIPTION:  This Softpaq contains the Synaptics Touchpad Driver for Windows 2000 for 
              the Presario notebook models listed above.
              
              Microsoft Certified for all listed operating systems.

Enhancements/Fixes:

- Adds help messages to the vertical scroll strips for the Edge Motion page, 
   Scroll page, and Tap Zones page.

- Provides better detection and functionality when external PS/2 mice are used. 

- Updates the language translations for the help files and the user interface.

- Fixes an issue with the speed pointer, using a Microsoft Knowledge Base patch,
   article "Mouse Pointer May Move Randomly with Fast Pointer Speed," with details
   available at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q280/8/00.ASP

- Fixes an issue where the notebook can stop functioning during a restart.

 
HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file that is downloaded is 
    an executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.

2.  Run the downloaded SoftPaq file via Windows Explorer and follow any on-screen
    instructions provided.
    
3.  Restart the notebook when the installation has been completed.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS!
